I received a phone call this morning from my neighbor down the street. I love talking to her, because she has a sweet voice like Dolly Parton. Anyway, she wanted my help in requesting an absentee ballot for the upcoming election on Nov 3. She and her husband have lived in the neighborhood for over 50 years. They are retired now and have some health problems, so receiving the ballot at home will probably be easier for them.

I’m going to print out the absentee voting application form for them to fill out and mail to the Board of Elections. If you want to apply for an absentee ballot, here’s the info: http://www.mcohio.org/boe/voter_information/absentee_voting/absenteeform.cfm.

By the way, voting in person is easy to do, too. You can practically see our precinct’s voting place from your house. We’re lucky it’s located so close to the neighborhood–at the old Carnegie Library at the corner of E. Fifth St and Columbus.
