The falling leaves tapping on the skylights above me reminded me that time was running out. The local weatherman assured me that I’d better capture some fall images before rain ruined the opportunity. So I grabbed the video camera during lunch yesterday and recorded the color on my block. I bet it will look even better in a few days, but I wasn’t going to risk missing out altogether by waiting. There can’t be much better than the color and textures of autumn leaves, brick streets and finely-painted Victorian houses.

I always like looking out the leaded-glass window of the front door and seeing a sea of orange leaves, multiplied with kaleidoscopic effect by the prismatic edges of the glass.
